#55162 - RE: RTOS for 8051 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Udit,
"recently i came to know that there is tiny real time OS for 8051" Whatever or whoever was that source of your knowledge - what happened ? Did it just tell you so much and run away ? Lots of things have been told about this Real Time stuff - but belive me I still dont know if it really exists. After all, in your quest to do something without this apparent in/out latency, is it not enough if you speed up the processing to the point where the latency is "n" times lower than recognizable ? For example if a clock update has to happen at 1 second intervals, how does it matter if it happens at 999 ms or 1001 ms ( provided the clock source is bang on at 1000 ms ) ? Maybe I am wrong and experts out there may feel different. Raghu |
