#55174 - RE: 485 Master slave polling protocol
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi,

I dont know how you have utilized your all timers! However a single timer can be used to perform multiple tasks.

For example if you are using any timer to perform a task for every 2ms, then you can configure your timer as auto-reload for every ms. Then you can assign a internal ram location as counter, on every interrupt on timer overflow, timer ISR will check the counter status, if counter=1, perform the task1, if counter = 2 perform taskx, if counter = 55 perform tasky etc. etc.

This way you can use a single timer for n routines, of course with some limitations, but in most cases it works well.

Goodluck
