Use external serial eeprom like 24c16 etc... depending on the size of your data you need to store.
With serial eeproms you need 2 or 3 lines of the microcontroller i/o ports and simple routines for read/write.
once you have done that and it worked email me your code to add to my software library in case i needed it for future!
