Here is an example of how to make many of the off-the-shelf 8052 type devices radiation resistant. The box shown is lined with heavy lead (Pb).
![]() These boxes should be readily available on the surplus market because they were once used in many dental offices for storing dental films. The FDA has recommended that the boxes no longer be used for this purpose and thus radiation resistant 8052's are now feasible!! Michael Karas |
