#57370 - RE: ds80c400, slow ethernet??? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I guess I should have checked the link before replying. The FAQ states that the controller can transmit up to 266 Kbyte/second but that is a transfer rate defined for a transmission using the socket I/F of the included TCP-IP stack. Using sockets from the TCP-IP stack means that you will add the delay/overhead from the TCP-IP stack. You will probably get a much higher throughput if you use a lower level protocol (IP, or Ethernet...)
The FAQ actually states that using Ethernet you can actually transfer up to 5 Mbps. (It is in the answer to the first question of the FAQ...) hope this helps rgds Patrick |
