#57714 - 32 bit / 20 bit division |
I have a requirement to do the following division in ASSEMBLY :
99 99 99 99 / 9 99 99 I have given the maximum values to make it clear. The divisor will not go below 15000 so I am happy if the quotient is 16 bit.I am not worried about the remainder and will discard it. Note : A search in this site brought 9 pages - but were not what I want. The code library has 32bit/16bit. I dont have the time to go through Google. ( As a quick and dirty method I am now doing repeated subtraction and managing. -no need to suppress that grin- you can LOL !) Thanks Raghu |
