Michael That is a good point. presuming that all 400 threads are used in common then two long rollers mounted in bearings should replace 800 pulleys as the friction from 800 additional sliding threads would be significant
if the common rollers were suitably separated you could place the grouped pulleys beteen them as suggested in my last post. I will make a drawing later today if I have time and post it Terry
