Hi there,

I am trying to interface 89c51 to serial EEPROMs but I am confused over Addressing .I read the datasheet but want some help regarding a working example . Datasheet says for 24C08 1010,A2,A1,A0,R/W format.I set as follows

A2= 1/Vcc
A1= 0/Gnd
A0= 0/Gnd

Please do I require only the following :
1) Read address
2)Write address
is there any need for device address I mean whats that?

what to set for in case of all the three chips
24C64 and 24C08 and PCF8583 together . I am confused over the addressing matter and Site directed or some working example would be wonderfull .
