Genius, Michael.. That works perfectly, as you well know. Last problem, or question... at least for tonight.
With that all well and good, I'd like to find a simple way to see if the dip switches have changed, and if they have return from my code back to DIPSWT_MODE. I considered just moving the port to the accumulator, comparing it with a value that I preset in the MODE functions (ie: MOV R7, #6) and then jumping if they weren't equal, but I'm wondering if this is the best way? Are there any tricks to constantly checking ports to see if they've changed? Is it more correct to check it and set a bit, then jump on that bit, or do a register compare? Sorry to be so green, I'd just like my code not to be too ugly! Thanks! |
