This .h file should be #included in every .c file that references the variable. Actually, I recommend that you also #include it in the file that defines the variable. This causes no trouble (see K&R) and has the advantage that it gives the Compiler the chance to report an error if the declaration in the header file gets out of step with the definition! Otherwise, no one may ever know ... until your program start misbehaving in weird and wonderful ways! |
