#5928 - RE: 8051 SFR reset values |
I guess I wasn't very clear. I am working on fixing up a VHDL simulation model of the "standard" 8051 for my school. It would be nice to get the reset values of the SFRs correct, including setting indeterminate values to 'X' instead of '0' or '1'. This way, if someone assumes that a SFR will contain 0 when they write their program, they will see an X in simulation and know that they made a bad assumption. I have been using the Philips databook "80C51-Based 8-bit Microcontrollers" as a guide. It contradicts itself on the reset values for some SFRs. I have a good idea what the correct values are, but I was hoping to find another source for this info to verify my assumptions. Web searches were fruitless.
Thanks, Dave. |
