Steppers are notorious for causing interference spikes. But the good news is that with proper suppression diodes / snubbers and proper PCB layout, it is possible to attenuate these spikes to harmless levels.
2m of connecting wires - particularly if handling the power lines of stepper, can act as excellent antennae to radiate noise. Proper shielding and grounding procedures must be in place. Raghu |
