NEED HELP
I got a project to devlop a auto ranging frquency counter over 1Hz-10MHz.
The problem is circuit is already designed by peoples working earlier in that company.
designe consist of divide by 10-counters, PLL4046 &8051. this converts i/p freq to range of 10khz t0 99khz & then controller measures it for 100ms gate period. Switxhing of i/p frequency from MHz range to Hz range take almost 7-8 sec.
Keeping same hardware is it possible to reduce this time to 2-3 sec.
