What motors should i use - stepper or simple DC ? Nearly everyone I have met used steppers - probably because measuring where you are is a little simpler. DC drives with encoders could be used, and in a top-end micromouse it might be the best way to get the optimum torque/speed characteristics. The Mitey mouse series, certainly the later units were based on the CPU from a harddisk drive, rather than the 8052. Steve |
