I know, I know, but i had some reasons for it.

1) They where some chips had lying around in my chips box, so why not? Offcourse for any serious project i could use an single chip design.
2) This configuration was much easyer to use with the keil mon51 program.
3) I would not know how to set up the chip with this monitor program. As data and code space need to be van neumann wired to use the monitor. How would i do something like that with an ISP device?
4) I am just an hobbyist, that wants to fool around with microcontrollers and the like. Also developing devices for it is another goal. (See the IDE controller http://home.wanadoo.nl/b.bilos/8051_IDE.htm ) an network device, MOS-6581 chip and much more will be added. So an system bus like it has now is more of an advantage in this setting. (for now)

If you use ISP devices with this specific monitor, please tell me the devices you use for it. I will gladly follow your advice. I am not an Electronic engineering person by schooling (i am still a student) so i am not fully aware of all the possibilities of the 8051 devices out there.
