I think the problem is, that your file does not have an appropriate format. Try to make a screen dump and convert the bmp-file into a format which will work with geocities homepage.

If you need a gif-file, you can send it directly to me. I have a tool to convert bmp to gif. I could also publish this gif-file for you, here.
