#63552 - RE: serial communication Responding to: ???'s previous message |
My advice: (for what it's worth)
Start by connecting you sending device to a pc with a serial communications program (hyperterminal on window$ or minicom on unix-alikes) Make sure your PC can properly display the chars sent to it by your device. (ie debug your sending routine) Then connect your PC with the same communications program to the receiving device. Then verify that what you send by means of PC is properly received by your device. (ie debug your receive-routine). If all of this is ok, then theoretically, your devices should be able to transmit/receive between eachother. looking at the data you receive, I would say that your receiver starts too late and interprets the mark of you idle line as one's 0000 0001 -> 0000 1111 0000 0011 -> 0001 1111 0000 0101 -> 0010 1111 0000 1001 -> 0100 1111 regards Patrick |
