Reading the datasheets for these two chips shows they're pin to pin compatible.

The two differences I've seen after first reading is the RAM size and the I2C module which isn't inside the RD2.

If I replace the 89C66x on my board by a 89C51RD2, will FlashMagic still able to download my code ?

Is there any other difference ?

The purpose to replace the 89C66x is that they're difficult to find in France for low quantity with a low price.
