The puzzling thing I found was that running the Programmer software does not have any effect on the port pins of my laptop computer. Questions I'd be asking myself, among others... What operating system does the laptop use? Could it simply be that some other process "owns" the parallel port and will not let the Programmer application access the port? Or could it be that the Programmer application is trying to access the ports directly, but is running on an operating systems that does not allow direct port access? |
