Michael,
as I understand from your example, MOVLP() should be done as separate subroutime to be called from anywhere of a program. Otherwise your example may be some optimized to speedup and decrease code space as well, something like:

MOVIT:
   MOV   R0,#0
   MOV   DPTR,#0800H
MOVLP:
   MOV   A,@R0
   MOVX  @DPTR,A
   INC   R0
   INC   DPL
   CJNE  R0,#32,MOVLP
