All 1-Wire (aka "MicroLAN") devices have a 64-bit ROM Code that uniquely identifies the individual device (like an ethernet MAC address).

The DS2411 has only a ROM code - no other functionality at all.

To read the Serial Number, just use the Read ROM Command, 0x33.

The Read ROM Command works the same for all 1-Wire devices.

Note that the DS1990 Serial Number iButton is functionally identical - just in a different package, and without the Vcc pin.
