#65514 - Ascii/Decimal? |
I am writing a C program for the 8051 processor. I am taking 2 values from a keypad and multiplying them. I then display the result on an LCD. My problem is when I take the values from the keypad and print them to hte LCD they are ASCII characters. So then when I try to multiply these numbers the answer is incorrect. Should I convert the ASCII characters to decimal before multiplying?
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for your time. |
