Good to know you are learning how to code UART for the first time. Yet, do know the code has the look, structure and coding method of a "code as I learn" methodology that is not unexpected from someone in your place. But your pronouncement that others may use the code and the inference that they may be excited about it is a little hard for me to take. I can assure you that five years from now you will look at this code and probably comment, "I wrote that stuff?". So feel the accomplishment for your self ... but do not let ego get the way when there is still a lot of stuff to learn.
