#66549 - RE: Using Cygnal Part C8051F330 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Markus,
The most important thing with SiLabs/Cygnal controllers is to be aware that they are very high speed devices, so the layout of power and ground is extremely important as is decoupling. You should also bear in mind that outputs configured as push-pull have sub-nanosecond transition times. Long traces (> ~7 cm.) attached to these outputs should be treated as transmission lines. Other than that I can only say that these devices are a delight to work with and should give you no difficulties. I do advise, however, to very carefully study the working of the Crossbar, because this can be confusing at first. Lastly I'd like to point you to SiLabs' MCU User's Forum, where you can post your Cygnal specific questions. Good luck with your project! Rob Klein. |
