There are an infinite number of ways to view a thing.

From an emotional perspective, though, my own cosmology's taxonomy of emotions has only 2 at its root: love and fear, and views fear as derived from love, with the assistance of ignorance, i.e. a limited context.

So, no actual demons in my pantheon, rather regions void of deities.

For me, love relates to inclusiveness, and fear to separation. I would characterize the characterization of individuals as "terrorist animals" as itself being of a separatist character, and quite literally synonymous with the very terrorism that is being decried.

I strive for viewpoints that maximize my response-ability, and so with regards to this event would favor those wherein those labelled as terrorists are instead thought of as being gripped in fear, regardless of whether such fear is 'well' founded. I would seek a view wherein those folk had been gravely failed by their environment, and seek for that environment to view itself as being responsible, response-able, to/for them.
