I'm confused. In your first post you stated that you had modified the source code. (I take that to mean it has changed.) You then say you assemble it and the new hex file matches byte for byte with the old file? And it doesn't work?
Did you modify the source or didn't you?
If you did, why would the resultant hex files match byte for byte?
