Well, I know how to program 8052 and such, so i understand to connect the serial port to the MT8880, and I have found a data sheet for the MT8880. Are there any good newbie tutorials online?

My basic goal is to dial a number and send some sort of tone that makes sure that i actually connected.

Problem is, i do not know which pins go precisely to a phonejack, why there are so many pins, etc...

Any help is much appreciated.
