#67536 - RE: Excessive power usage. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The list of components is about 2 pages long and many of them are tiny surface-mounted resistors and capacitors, so attempt to find the problem part by touching and trying to feel if it overheats didn't work out - either nothing is overheating or I missed the part - and I don't have access to infrared camera :( The only hot part I found was the power stabilizing chip (9V->5V) which is hardly surprising, it may be that this chip is faulty but quite possibly it overheats because something else draws so much power. About OC inputs - I know the Port 0 of ADuC812 is OC but in my case nothing was attached to it. I don't know about the external memory chips, buffers etc though - I'll try to look them up.
