thanks alot for the code changes, i got my holidays now, but im back to the college lab tomorrow and will burn the code and see if it works.
as for my hardware, its no big shakes!

just a 89c55wd cpu and hitachi lcd and ds17887 real time clock.

i will post a link to my schematics soon, i have to make a few changes to it first :)
