#68201 - RE: # of slaves in RS485
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I am using

ADM483 and ADM202 to EIA/TIA-485/422 and EIA/TIA-232.

You Should to use MAX3082....MAX3089 ...are better too.

you are totally missing the point. What you use may not be right for his application. RS485 transcievers are not pantyhose. Sometimes you need frequency limitation, sometimes you need less load, sometimes you need short-circuit protection, sometimes you need very high ESD survival, sometimes you need .....

How can you tell ANYONE which chip to use when you do not know their application?

Erik
