You have two unknowns here: your PC software, and your 8051 software.
Your hardware could even be a third unknown! What happens if you put your PC software aside for a while, and just use a standard terminal emulator? Have you tried running your 8051 code in a simulator? (you can download a free version of the Keil simulator). Do you have any known-good 8051 software to use to test your PC software? What PC operating system are you using? Are you sure that it allows you to go directly hacking with hard-coded register addresses? Why don't you use the proper system calls? |
