To the best of my knowledge, CNY17-3 is not that slow. Which datasheet you are consulting?

Yes, you are right. I made a mistake. I did trust a list which stated, that TIL127 from Texas Instruments is a direct replacement for CNY17-3. But this is totally wrong, as I found out, right now. I apologize!
