hi
i'm doing a data acquisition project and i need to hook up an adc0808 to the parallel port of the pc. since i need only 1 analogue input, i've grounded the address lines and the other analogue input lines (pins 1-5,16,27,28,23-25). i take the input on pin 26. OE and ALE are VCC and SC is coupled with EOC. the PROBLEM (woe is me!!!) is that i never get a stable output. it fluctuates wildly. even when there's no change in input. i use a 555 timer for the clock at 60 khz.
