I am currently trying to figure out a device for a battery powered portable data logger. Broadly, I need the device to operate for upto 24 hours at a stretch and I look for a very low power kind of device. The standard devices I use regularly like the Atmel 89c51/52/8252 or Philips 89C51RD2 consume around 25 - 50mA which is way too high for this type of work.

Do you people know of such a device from your experience? I have located the TI MSC1210 and MSP430C series as probable candidates. Can anyone share their views on this please?
