#69230 - RE: It is a very nice riddle! Oleg Responding to: ???'s previous message |
hi,
even weekend went off nevertheless this subject is still interested (= I think now about that mathematics has "global failure" in the whole. Here is a riddle. We all had scholl and teachers says as that "a/a=1". So 3/3 should be 1. Okay, let me calculate it myself. First of all, I write it with different way: 3*(1/3); Is it still one? mathematics fraction theory says "yes". Now I calculate it manually: 1/3 = 0,33333 [period] Now I multiple it with 3: 3 * 0,33333 [period] = 0,99999 [period] Now the question: is 1.00000 [period] the same as 0,99999 [period] exactly? I doubt... So where this a very-very little part of number come out to? Maybe is it a payment to Universe for our brains? (= Another point: maybe is this very-very little difference is that thing we call ZERO? Regards, Oleg |
