Unfortunately Atmel doesn't have an FAQ section on their site, and they basically don't have any apnotes and sample code for this chip. The manuals for their development kit and reference design do not contain schematics. You have a datasheet and errata sheet, and that's about it...without spending money for their development kit or reference design.

There is a link to ask technical questions http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/support.asp but I'd suggest staying on good terms with your local Atmel FAE and/or sales rep.
