I agree with erik, better do this project in peices rather than doing everthing in one go. First establish a wired communication between devices by using RS232 interface than make it wireless. I would suggest you to use GMSK modulated wireless communication you can go upto 200kbps full duplex. you can use GMSK modem chip CMX589AP4 and then transmit this on some suitable career.
