#69754 - RE: DS1232 & ATMEL ISP Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Now I am worried about the dog that would bite my micro and reset it while I am programming it with ISP cable if the Dog is not given a coockie at the required time What to do with that.
The simple solution: use a chip with internal dog The 'other' solution: use a jumper that you remove during ISP. I know of no chip that works well in ISP with an external dog. The Philips ISP chips (and probably many others) have an internal dog that must be activated after each reset and since the ISP does not activate, no problem. Erik |
