Hardcopy can save your ass.

I still have the printout of the source code I wrote 18 years ago on IBM370, or 17 years ago on PDP-11. If I had saved them on diskettes, I probably won't be able to recover them. Instead, I can still use OCR to read them back if I really want to. My only worry would the fire accident.

Yah, the last resort will be the memory in your brain, even it is pretty vulnerable to aging, drugs, diseases, and external impact.
