#69867 - RE: MultiMedia Card Driver Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Disk On Chip is a totally different device. DOC are in a flash rom footprint and have a built in bios for PC based systems. MMC is named 'multimedia' as it's used in mp3 players, phones, cameras etc. It's handy as it is a firm specification that you can get your hands onto, cheap and uses a SPI style interface with only a handful of connections. Readers for PCs are also dirt cheap. |
