Though I cannot give you a model number, I'm reasonably certain that intelligent power ICs are available that you would wire into the circuit like thyristors, but they have built into them 0-crossing detection. You could trigger these near the ZCC point using the ZV point, and let the detection circuitry handle the rest.
Sometimes it is much more sensible to let discrete components do your work for you, even when you are using a mC. Brian |
