Don't use the accu for "long term memory"! It's too useful for other things. Keep your CCU (whatever that is) and your timer 2 data in RAM, preferrably in a register if you need to access it often.
For the purpose of temporarily saving and later recalling the contents of the accumulator, use PUSH acc and POP acc. |
