Hi guys, a newbie here..
I'm going to connect a few 'active low' push-buttons on port 1 of 8051 (AT89C51). My questions are: 1. Is pull-up resistor required? 2. To make it 'low', one end of the button is connected to the MCU's pin and the other end to a 10k resistor, and another end of the resistor is connected to ground.I use 10k resistor. Is this the correct connection? I've tested it with a simple program. But it didnt work as I wished, so I'm wondering whether it's my connection problem or my code.. ... Thanks.. |
