Stability of oscillation frequency -frequency stability is between that of a quartz crystal, and LC or RC circuits. Tempco of quartz crystals is 10-6 /deg C maximum and approximately 10-3 to 10-4 /deg C for LC or RC oscillation circuits. Compared with these, the ceramic resonator has 10-5 / deg C at -20 deg C to +80 deg C.
In addition to frequency stability, the ceramic resonator contains spurious pulses that have to be filtered out (a phase locked loop is good for that). |
