Russell, you guess like me :) in other words like in his datasheet. Anyway, my mcu cycle is about 1uS, looks like is much more then minimal needed ( few nano-sec according to datasheet )

aaa...the CS pin I tie it to ground, since I don't have more chips to drive on bus. Is this a problem ? Aka the chip expect to bring down the CS -> transmission -> bring back CD in HIGH ? ( doesn't make sense )


and about the timming, according to datasheet, the 8880 is capable to generate 3 kind of lenght tones :

standard 50mS
extended 102mS ( both in burst mode )

free tone <- thats one I am confused...and is what I need :)

did I talk too much ?!?
