You are partly correct. I am having the pdfs for MMC Card standard, and the datasheet of Hitachi make 128MB MMC Card.
As far as the standard states, all the MMC cards must support SPI mode and CMD0 command.
I tried searching for Fujitech datasheet, but came to a blank, so I had to move on, and try atleast the basic CMD0 command MMC Cards with whatever I had.

I don't think it is a problem (or do you think so?). At every step, I have confirmed the working of MMC Card by placing it in the digital camera and confirming that the card is working OK. (I know Cameras have internal and external(MMC) memories separate, please be assured that the MMC Card is working fine).
