If you are serious in getting a good but economical programer.

Go to kitsrs.com and buy on line one programer. I think it's within 50$.

Its ready to plug in and play with.

But before that you have to turn yourself to the fundamentals of the microcontroller since,You said,

"i want to make a moving display , bu i dont know anything about 8051."

but don't become a fundamentalist though ;-) all micros are good........

So, you are already at the right place.

Download or study on line the tutorials here on 8052.com

Go to Atmel.com and download the data sheet of 89c51, the best to start with, it has flash as already suggested by Richard.

Go to amazon.com and order some good books there. Don't forget getting "The 8051 Microcontroller" by Professor I.Scot. Mackenzie. The best for beginners.

making a software your own to make moving signs from this level, is really a job, but not something you can't acheive, specially when you'r already a programer.

I can see an 8051 Guru in the making in Turkey :) GO AHEAD !
