The trouble with Hypoterminal (sic) is that it often causes more problems than it solves! :-(
(just search this forum for "Hyperterminal" and you'll see what I mean!) Ahmed Barakat said:

Or do you expect your 8051 to be echoing received characters? Do you have 2 PCs, or a PC with >1 COM port, so that you can just connect them together to verify that data is being sent & received? |
