#72403 - RE: Fractional Equivalence
Responding to: ???'s previous message
HA! Good stuff. I remember years ago having to convert from MPH to KPH for a go-kart speedometer (the conversion factor is ~1.609 which is close to enough to 103/64 if memory serves). I just determined it by trial and error, but was pleasantly surprised that the denominator was a power of 2. Your XLS did the trick.

I vaguely remember in school having been taught how to do it by long division, but I couldn't recall the method (or even that it was called "fractional equivalence") so that's how I ended up doing it by trial-and error.
