#72735 - Thyristor firing using Pulse transformer
Hi Friends,
In one of my 8052 application I have to fire two thyristors connected back to back for chopping the input going to primary of a welding transformer. I have a circuit diagram which uses SKPT27 [ SemiKron ] pulse transformers for feeding the gate pulse and providing galvanic isolation, but this circuit is quite complicated and uses two pulse transformers for firing the two thyristors and also a lot of transistors I feel there are a lot of unwanted components in this firing card. Recently I have seen a simpler firing card but can't remember the exact configuration. I have already searched the forum for this topic there a couple of threads but not much info.
I will be very thankfull If you guys can please provide me some schematics or links to Thyristors Firing Card [ Using Pulse Transformers ].
Thank you very much.

Regards,
Prahlad Purohit
